(6) Katsuya

Treat yourself to quality tonkatsu at Katsuya. The restaurant started its journey in 2011 with chef-owner Kervin Tay's passion for tonkatsu. Chef Kervin's unwavering dedication to preserving tonkatsu's traditional craft and flavours shines through his katsu creations. Katsuya only uses the highest quality pork imported from Hokkaido, Japan, and ensures the freshness of all ingredients, including oil. They offer different cuts of pork, mainly Hire ($25++) and Rosu ($26++). When choosing between Hire and Rosu, it is essential to note that Hire has less fat but is still tender and juicy when cooked. However, if you prefer cuts with more fat, Rosu is a good choice as it is equally tender, if not more. Although it is a tonkatsu restaurant, it also serves classic Japanese dishes like fresh sashimi, natto and more!
With a limited seating capacity of only 14 high-counter seats, booking your seats in advance is essential. We highly recommend checking their Instagram page for booking info and explore Chef Kervin's true passion for tonkatsu!
