Free-Flow Alcohol & Drink-All-You-Can At 3 Japanese Restaurants This Festive Season!
Japanese Beers, Sakes, Shochu, Umeshu, Chuhai, Highballs, and so many more! Don’t you always find yourself spoilt for choices at Japanese Izakayas and restaurants?!
Before we delve deeper, if you haven’t read our Top Japanese Etiquette Tips You Ought To Know article, then you should if you want to learn about those unspoken rules to act appropriately and blend into the community for whichever purposes.
Japanese beers are increasingly popular around the world these years, with four brands that are currently dominating the market - Asahi, Sapporo, Kirin, and Suntory.
The classic and crowd favourite is the Asahi Super Dry, one that many would be familiar with. Refreshing, not-so-bitter, and the light “crispy” lingering taste after you swallow a gulp is what I like most about this top Japanese beer on my list.
I often see my Japanese colleagues ordering pints of Sapporo - these are smoother to drink and best matched with your Japanese cuisine.
For those who like bittersweet beers, this is for you! Though less commonly found in the bars in Singapore, you would bound to find them everywhere in Japan!
I am in love with so many beverages from Suntory - Suntory Highball, Strong Zero, and Roku Gin (my favourite Craft Gin). I have not tried their revamped Premium Malt Beer released in 2017, but I am sure it is as good as all their other drinks under Suntory.
Where to enjoy free-flow or happy hour promotions for these Japanese beers/alcohol in Singapore?
You know it’s true authentic natives’ favourites when you don’t see much English information online.
Azmaya serves shabu-shabu and sukiyaki with high-grade marbled Japanese beef and Australian wagyu. They also have Motsunabe (a Japanese hotpot stew made from beef or pork tripe or other offal). Ala carte menu also has oysters, sea urchin, salmon roe flown from Hokkaido!
There are private rooms that can accommodate 3 to even 40 people - this place is always first on our minds when we need to have a company dinner/hangout.
