Kagoshima First Harvest Tea Festival Is Happening At MUJI Plaza Singapura Till 21st June 2023

Rejoice, tea enthusiasts! MUJI Community Market is having a Kagoshima First Harvest Tea Festival Pop-Up exclusively at the Plaza Singapura outlet, until 21st June 2023.

“MUJI Community Market is an initiative aimed at bringing communities together,

connecting people, and supporting small businesses.”

This special event aligns with Japan's Shincha season, featuring the fresh and aromatic first green tea harvest from Kagoshima. In Japanese, "Shincha" translates to "New Tea," signifying the initial leaves picked during the year's first harvest, which typically occurs from April to mid-May.

Shincha is a prized item, available in limited quantities exclusively during spring. It is highly regarded by Japanese tea enthusiasts for its abundance of nutrients accumulated during the winter months. Not only that, Sencha is known to be fresher, sweeter, and less astringent.

Make your way now to explore a variety of Shincha and discover a range of Japan-imported specialties from long-established small enterprises. Additionally, if you spend $80 or more, you can indulge in a Traditional Matcha Tea Ceremony experience.
