Review: Tokyo's Famed Dessert Cafe, Sakanoue Cafe, Opens Pop-Up Store At Orchard Offering Japanese Shaved Ice Dessert

What is a better way to beat the sweltering heat with a refreshing bowl of kakigōri (Japanese shaved ice dessert)? Famed dessert cafe in Tokyo, Sakanoue Cafe, has finally landed in the heart of town, with a pop-up store at Isetan Scotts Supermarket till 9th March 2023!

Strawberry Cream Kakigori

Indulge in varieties of flavours, including the crowd's favourite Strawberry Cream Kakigori ($13). Served with layers of goodness like shaved ice flavoured with milk syrup, strawberry syrup, whipped cream, and topped with a strawberry. It is so refreshing and bursting with sweet notes of strawberry.

They offer other flavours like the Sakecream & Sakura Kakigori ($13), which comes with layers of shaved ice flavoured with milk syrup, white bean paste, sakura leaf powder, and sake cream.

You can also look forward to the Panda Kakigori ($13), packed with layers of shaved ice flavoured with milk syrup, strawberries, sakura-flavoured domyoji (Japanese sweet), sweet bean paste, fresh cream, and topped with chocolates.

Keep your eyes peeled as they are releasing new flavours once the above flavours are sold out. It includes Blue Cheese Red Beans Paste KakigoriPistachio Raspberries Kakigori, and Matcha Kakigori.
