Main Dishes
With over 10 Taiwan-inspired beef noodles, ranging from the classic Madam Wong’s Braised Beef Noodle Soup ($13.90) to Taiwan Fried Chicken with Noodle Soup ($12.90), the wide plethora definitely offers something for everyone. We eventually settled on Madam Wong’s Braised Beef Noodle Soup with Truffles ($15.90) which had a light and tasty broth with springy noodles. It also included vegetables such as corn, carrots, mushrooms. The braised beef cubes were rich in flavour albeit a little on the chewier side!
Nothing screams Taiwanese food more than a smoking fried chicken on a hot plate! The savoury Taiwan Fried Chicken with Taiwan Knife Sliced Noodles ($13.90) came with a beautiful sunny side up and a runny yolk, complete with a drizzle of the Signature Brown Sauce. For those who prefer another choice of carbs to accompany your protein on the hotplate, you could also opt for Taiwan Pearl Rice / Taiwan Egg Fried Rice / Pasta with your preferred sauce.
The XL Gua Bao in Salted Egg Fried Yolk Fried Chicken with Cereal ($13.90) is definitely a must-try in our books. The buns were loaded with the delectable crisp of the fried chicken while the creamy salted egg sauce with cereal just packed the perfect amount of crunch and flavour. The sweet potato fries as a side deserve an honourable mention as it was incredibly sweet and crisp, a superb pairing to the bun!
Additionally, they are currently running a limited-time promotion- with every order of a main (hot plate or noodles), you get to shave a whopping 50% OFF any XL-sized Chinese Burger.

Final Thoughts
Overall, we enjoyed our dining experience at Wong Fu Fu as the food was just as warm as the ambience and service. Our personal favourite was the XL Gua Bao Salted Egg Fried Chicken with Cereal, we highly recommend getting that as it was a delightful medley of crunch and crispiness between the fried chicken and golden buns. As a Halal-certified Taiwanese restaurant, you could also bring along friends seeking halal options for a pork-free and delicious Taiwanese dining experience.
It is conveniently located in the central Bugis area which makes it a great spot for a quick lunch with colleagues or even a catchup with friends after work. And if you’re ever craving bottomless bubble tea, you know the place.
