It includes fresh Hotate Butter Yaki for appetiser, Bukkake Inaniwa Udon with Onsen Egg as main, their signature Deluxe Miyazaki Marbled Wagyu Karubi (40gm/pax), Premium Miyazaki Wagyu Chuck Roll (50gm/pax), Kagoshima Oysters and Tiger Prawns for seafood lovers. As part of their festive offerings, you can also add on the Flambe Kagoshima Pork Loin ($28) which is cooked to tender perfection and housemade with stew sauce and vodka.

(2) Wagyu Aburiya: Steak & Sukiyaki

(4) Gyutan-Tan

Singapore's first ox tongue specialty restaurant, Gyutan-Tan is celebrated for serving premium ox tongue roasted over a charcoal grill. Kick off with their Cold Roasted Gyutan Carpaccio ($15++), served with thin slices of cold-roasted gyutan, arugula, crunchy pickled white radish, parmesan, and a drizzle of sweet balsamic glaze.

Have a wholesome meal by getting the Sumiyaki Gyutan Combo Set ($25), which presents two types of cuts of gyutan- thin (4mm) and thick (10mm), served alongside a bowl of rice, fluffy and natto-textured mugimeshi (a mix of rice and barley), two kinds of Japanese pickles, salad paired with a lemon olive oil dressing, tororo (grated Japanese mountain yam), and a hearty oxtail soup. The overall taste resembled steak with a touch of char, and a more chewy texture.

Delight in their extensive sauce collection- Original shoyu, Ponzu Oroshi for those who like a little tang, Korean for spice lovers, Negi Shio (leek, black paper and salt), and Lemon Pepper for zesty brightness.

(5) Grill by Cut

A farm-to-table concept where fresh meats are directly imported from the butchery, Grill by Cut serves a fine selection of yakiniku on an authentic Kishu Binchotan grill. It gives your barbecue meat the delicious charcoal flavour, and diners have the option of choosing between their Ala Carte or All-Day Buffet Menu.

They have an incredible variety across their Ala Carte Menu, as not only does it include the super-premium A5 Satsumagyu, they also offer pork, chicken, and seafood such as Hamachi Kama ($23.80) and Uni Glazed Supreme Ika ($16.80). For folks who enjoy chewy tendons as part of their yakiniku meal, give the Rib Fingers ($15) a try as it has a similar springy texture with tons of flavour.

Their All-Day Buffet Menu is priced at $98.90++, though it may seem a little steep, it features various cuts of the cremè de la cremè of Japanese wagyu, A5 Satsumagyu. It also includes other exceptional meats such as the 20 Days Aged Iberico Pork, Skirt Steak with Chimichurri, Marinated Iberico Pork Collar, and also Half Shell Scallops and Shishamo Shio for fans of seafood.

The famous Japanese restaurant, Waa Cow!, known for its affordable wagyu beef bowls, operates a grill-it-yourself dining concept, Waa Cow! Yakiniku in Serangoon Garden! (10) Mr Yakiniku

Formerly located at Ubi, Mr Yakiniku is the first yakiniku casual restaurant offering a plant-based menu with other premium meat and seafood selection in a coffee shop. It now operates at New Gen Coffee House located in Bedok along Upper Changi Road. Their iconic IG-worthy Japanese Torii gate is also relocated to their new location.

Solo diners can choose from their individual sets including Beef Set Menu (S$11.80 for 100g, S$17.80 for 200g)- comes with Karubi short plate and Harami and Pork & Chicken Set Menu (S$14.80 for 150g, S$21.80 for 250g)- comes with pork jowl, pork belly and chicken thigh.

Vegans or plant-based food enthusiasts can delight in their Plant Based Set (S$14.80 for 150g, S$21.80 for 250g)-comes with Next Karubi (plant-based meat), mushroom and Hokkaido flower squid (made from konjac).
