Ingen Kyoto is a Japanese Teahouse oasis nestled right in the heart of town. Freshly opened at ION Orchard by Hvala, this haven not only offers tranquility but also an impressive selection of 200 specialty Japanese teas (from $12.80) for you to savour and choose from.

Indulge in the essence of Japan as you explore teas sourced from different prefectures. Immerse yourself in the diverse flavours, ranging from Kyoto's Green Tea to Miyazaki's Oolong Tea and Fukuoka's Black Tea, among others.

To conclude your experience on a sweet note, they also offer mouthwatering treats like the Ichigo Parfait ($20.80), Kabocha ($19.80), and more.

Calling all udon fans! Exciting news awaits at Guoco Midtown with the arrival of Umai, Singapore's first artisanal udon bar, opened by the brilliant minds behind Omoté.

Here, you can choose from unique fusion udon creations like Mediterranean ($19)Miso Carbonara ($19)Chilli Pan Mee ($15), and more.

Besides, you can find up to 4 varieties of handcrafted udon hailing from different prefectures of Japan. They have the hoto that highlights flat and thin noodles from Yamanashi prefecture. Himokawa showcasing a thick, flat noodle from Gunma Prefecture. Hippari, presenting a round and stringy noodle from Yamagata Prefecture. And your classic sanuki, featuring a round noodle from Kagawa Prefecture.

3. Tempura Bar

If you are looking for a wallet-friendly option, Tempura Bar (by Astons), got you covered with their affordable 5-course Omakase at only $38++. It includes Seasonal Sashimi, Tamago Mentaiyaki, Signature Tempura, Inaniwa Udon, and Daifuku Mochi.

5. Cafe Gui

Make a pit stop for brunch at this Korean-Japanese fusion cafe, Cafe Gui, as they have recently unveiled their second outlet at South Bridge Road.

You can find familiar favourites from their menu, including the popular Dosirak Rice Box ($15.90), Salmon Rice Box ($21.90), and Japanese Canadian Okonomi Hotdog ($13.90).

We loved their Dalgona Honeycomb Coffee ($9.90) and the creamy best-selling Hojicha Pudding ($8.90) with its aromatic Hojicha flavour.

6. Overscoop

Westies, you are in for a sweet treat as Overscoop has just opened a new cozy cloud-themed outlet at West Coast Plaza. And the good news does not end there— they also created a pet-friendly outdoor space, perfect for bringing your furry friends along.

They offer classic gelato flavours (from $5), including all-time favorites like Cookies and Cream and Salted Caramel. If you are feeling a bit fancy, opt for the premium flavours (additional $1), such as Hokkaido Milk and Wild Strawberry.

For an extra treat, we highly recommend pairing your gelato with one of their various waffle choices, especially the mochi waffle (+$8). It has a crispy exterior and a chewy interior, adding a delightful texture to the dessert experience.

If you are looking for a refreshing option, they also offer Acai Bowls and Floats.
