Review: Celebrate Each Season With Delightful Omakase At Tajimaya Yakiniku

Source: Tajimaya Yakiniku

Omakase is a form of Japanese dining in which guests leave themselves in the hands of a chef and receive a meal which is seasonal, elegant, artistic and uses the finest ingredients available during each season. Do you indulge in omakase and leave the menu entirely up to the chef?

At Tajimaya Yakiniku, you can look forward to a delightful omakase dining experience, elevated by the philosophy and refined cooking styles of the chefs.

On 1 September 2022, Tajimaya Yakiniku celebrated the end of summer with an unforgettable 1-day Summer Festival Omakase - Natsu No Kyoen 夏の饗宴 (which means feast of summer in Japanese). The 5-course Sake pairing menu at $168++/pax included all-time favourites such as premium grade A4 Miyazaki and A5 Kagoshima Wagyu, famous for its well-balanced marbling throughout the muscle fibers, tender texture, and great dense meat taste.

The other star on the menu was the Tuna sashimi, which was freshly air-flown from South Aomori, Hokkaido, Japan. The assortment of Tuna sushi featured various tuna cuts, with varying tastes and fattiness levels. Tip: If you are not a fan of fatty tuna, we recommend that you try akami (bright red tuna on the left).

Besides enjoying the delicacies, we also had a stellar experience observing the food preparation. From slicing sashimi, grilling meat and plating, there was no dull moments as the chefs prepared and served each delicacy with finesse.

Calling all omakase fans especially meat lovers, stay tuned to the restaurant’s upcoming seasonal omakase events. Reserve your seats early and be in for an exciting gastronomic journey!
