6 Must-Try Kakigori Cafés In Singapore To Beat The Heat

Move aside bingsu, kakigori is the latest trendy dessert in town! Some called it the Japanese rendition of our local ice kachang, but think ice kachang with fluffier, softer, ice that melts in your mouth! Kakigori, the Japanese shaved ice treat, has been the new viral dessert obsession recently and it’s making waves for good reason! Made with light-as-air and fluffy ice, this delicate icy treat makes for the perfect dessert for one to cool down in the hot and humid climate in Singapore.

Located inside Dnova Hotel near Bugis at The Artisan Cafe, the Black Sesame Kakigori is said to be an ideal combination of a nutty, bittersweet shaved ice topped with homemade mochi. Signature options include their Matcha Azuki Kakigori, dressed with a light and sweet matcha syrup and red bean paste. You can go for either the Small ($6.90) or Large ($12.90) across all flavours on the menu. Their kakigori is all about balance, airy, finely shaved ice that absorbs syrup without turning into slush.
