SAKURA SAKURI: New Japanese Healthy Gaufrette (Biscuit) Launched in Singapore Just In Time For The Cherry Blossom Season!
Introducing you a very meaningful project devised by YiEM International Co. Ltd. - a brand new and unprecedented product that is “developed” by actual SNS followers and customers.
Since the founding of the company 8 years ago, YiEM International Co. Ltd. has always aimed to put customers and consumers before anything else - and this is what makes the company’s products well-loved and its business long-lasting.
Just last year, they proposed the YiEM Project 2020 (イームプロジェクト2020), the company’s new initiative to develop and commercialize health-related products. They listened to the voices of their SNS followers ("I wish there was a product like this") and together they developed SAKURA SAKURI - Gaufrette made from brown rice flour and rich in calcium. This product has never been seen before anywhere else, and they made it from scratch through the polls and opinions gathered from their 34,000 followers on Twitter!
What exactly is SAKURA SAKURI?
1. Gaufrette made from 100% Hatsushimo rice flour from Gifu prefecture
Because it is made from brown rice flour, this product is recommended for anyone and any age group, from young kids to the elderly, and even if you have a wheat allergy.
2. Matcha cream unique to Japan & Gaufrette Dough rich in calcium
SAKURA SAKURI is spread with a generous amount of cream inside. YiEM International uses high-grade unique matcha harvested in Japan - perfect as a little nutritional supplement and acts as a (nutritious) snack when you are hungry.

Mr. Tanaka: Since the establishment of our company in Japan and Thailand 8 years ago, we have never been satisfied with the status quo and have always continued to challenge new things to bring our business to greater heights. As a trading company, we have been involved in the process of making a wide variety of products, and the more I got to interact with manufacturers of the products, the more I realize their passion and the story behind each of the items. By taking on the challenge of manufacturing the product ourselves, we were inspired to understand the feelings of the creators (in this case, our Twitter followers) and people who will purchase the product.
That is why I wanted to create a health-focused product together with my SNS followers who have always been very supportive. With this in mind, we launched this project and there it is - SAKURA SAKURI! I would be very happy if Singaporeans will support this initiative and give SAKURA SAKURI a try!
