Mad About Sucre Unveils New BLACKPINK-Themed Cakes From 6 May 2023
Calling all BLINKs! Mark your calendars as Mad About Sucre, a Gourmet Restaurant and French Patisserie, is bringing you a stunning BLACKPINK-inspired, Singapore-flavoured 3-tier cake.
It will be presented to BLACKPINK at Born Pink World Tour, Singapore Leg at National Stadium on 14 May 2023.
Designed by Co-Founder and Pâtissier of Mad About Sucre, Lena Chan, who is known as the "Confection Queen of Singapore", revealed that the cake will be in black and pink, representing both maturity, confidence and savage, juxtaposing against the cute and girly image.
Just like all the luscious handcrafted cakes they've whipped up over the past 9 years, this cake will be made using only the freshest, most natural ingredients featuring coconut, light pandan, and brown butter to create a taste sensation that's both comforting and exciting.
The edible orchids along with other multi-textured flowers created out of sugar, fondant, and waffle paper will be handcrafted to create a `Singapore enchanted garden’. The overall image of the cake is to be bold, independent, and opinionated yet feminine and always in vogue.
