6 Airlines That Fly You From Singapore To Tokyo, Japan

In November 2023, Japan welcomed more than 86,000 tourists from Singapore, which was a year-on-year increase of 113.4%. Based on the data from Japan National Tourism Organisation, the subsequent months up till April 2024 continued to see year-on-year increases, highlighting the growing interest in visiting Japan during the post-pandemic travel resurgence.

Moreover, the favourable exchange rate of the Japanese yen makes travel more affordable and enticing. At the time of writing, 1,000 yen is about S$8.40. In contrast, 1,000 yen was about S$9.50 last year and about S$13 five years ago in 2019.

With autumn (September to November) and winter (December to February) coming soon, Japan may be on your list of destinations to visit this year. Using Tokyo as your base for exploring beautiful foliage such as at Nikko, or as a transit point to easily connect to neighbouring cities, it is no wonder why direct flights to Tokyo are popular.
