Review: Apartment Hotel MIMARU Tokyo Shinjuku West

Comfortable stay
We stayed at the family apartment in Shinjuku West, a spacious 40m² room with 2 single beds and a bunk bed- perfect for children. This space can easily accommodate 4 adults and 2 children (aged 6 years old and below). The open-plan kitchen and living space has everything you’d need in a fully-functional apartment, from a flatscreen TV to a cosy dining area that was perfect for our late night suppers and chit-chats.

Amenities & Facilities
Although Apartment Hotel MIMARU is a move-in-ready apartment for short and long term stays, you wouldn’t expect all the extra facilities that would come with a full service hotel. However, if you need some more home comfort, there is a coin laundry on Level 2. You can also pick up some instant coffee/tea, bath robes and more at the lobby.

Great service
The international staff at the reception were very friendly and approachable. We left our luggage at the reception desk upon our early arrival, ahead of check-in time. The staff then moved the luggage into our room when it was ready.

Relatively convenient location with ample food options
We like that the hotel is tucked away in a quiet neighbourhood (behind Shinjuku Washington Hotel), yet within walking distance to central Shinjuku. Also, airport limousine buses from both Narita and Haneda airports stop at Shinjuku Washington Hotel. Although there isn’t a supermarket within walking distance, there are more than 3 convenience stores within a stone’s throw away so satisfying your late night hunger pangs will be a breeze.

There are also a few restaurants in Shinjuku Washington Hotel annex if you are looking for a quick meal option.

Offering the comfort of a holiday home, Apartment Hotel MIMARU is a modern, flexible and safe accommodation option that ticks all the boxes, there’s plenty of space to relax, do simple cooking and laundry, and even work. We recommend this home-away-from-home to businessmen, singles, couples and families who want to escape the city’s hustle and bustle and relax in complete comfort.
