Ginkyō By Kinki: Modern Japanese Bistro At One Holland Village

If you have not been to the new pet-friendly mall, One Holland Village, think no more and check out several new and exciting Japanese F&B establishments restaurants including Warabimochi Kamakura and Ginkyō which recently opened in December 2023. As the sister restaurant of Kinki, Ginkyō boldly redefines the Japanese dining experience with a playful blend of authenticity and contemporary creativity, expressed through its accessible bistro menu of Japanese favourites set in a lively and casual setting.

Menu

Inspired by Japan’s Ginkgo Matsuri (festival) is a creative menu featuring a mix of small plates, hearty mains and sweet endings, ideal for ordering up a communal feast. In addition, there is a collection of seasonal cocktails and beverages handcrafted with Japanese spirits and flavours.

Uni, Caviar, Ikura Crispies

Exclusive to Ginkyō are an assortment of bite-sized Ginkyō Crispies with decadent toppings. Uni, Caviar, Ikura Crispies ($22) presents a medley of Japanese seafood delights such as negitoro, uni and ikura, finished with caviar and edible gold flakes.

Swordfish Ceviche ($19)

From Ginkyō’s Raw Kitchen, there is a selection of light yet punchy appetisers to tease your palate. Swordfish Ceviche ($19) presents delicate cubes of swordfish, avocado and mikan dressed with piquant salsa, served alongside crispy rice crackers.

Best of Toyosu Market

Another highlight is the Best of Toyosu Market ($52), a chirashi rice bowl lined with fresh seasonal sashimi air flown from Tokyo, topped with truffle shavings and caviar. Elevate the dish with add-on options- onsen egg (+$4) or luxe Hokkaido uni (+$17).

Next, High Roller Bowl ($98) is a sumptuous bowl of indulgence combining A4 Ohmi wagyu, Hokkaido uni, ikura, black truffle, caviar atop a bed of beef fat rice. Top up $15 for foie gras.

Tempura Banana

Last but not least, round off your meal with innovative desserts such as Kohi Custard Purin ($13), Atsuki Panna Cotta ($12) and Tempura Banana ($15). For a one-of-a-kind dessert experience, go for the Tempura Banana- think freshly fried goreng pisang dressed with gula melaka, served with refreshing coconut ice-cream, sago and black sugar.

Cocktails

Calling cocktail fans, Ginkyō serves up an impressive lineup of cocktails including Kyoto Sour ($18) which gives Kinki’s private label sake a twist, mixing fresh lemon juice, pickled ginger, edible chrysanthemum petals and a sheet of nori seaweed. Go bold with the Blackout ($23)- charcoal-infused shochu with campari and sweet vermouth. Dress it up with edible gold flakes for an additional $2.

Do stop by if you are looking for a cosy place to hang out with your family and friends over assorted bistro bites and craft cocktails. Craving for sweets? Head over to Warabimochi Kamakura and Baskin Robbins for a quick pick-me-up!
