New artisan udon restaurant at Tampines 1, Haruyama Udon makes their very own udon in house, namely Himokawa from Gunma Prefecture, Sanuki from Kagawa Prefecture, Inaniwa from Akita Prefecture, and Hoto from Yamanashi Prefecture.
Their wide variety of udon are presented in different styles, such as Cold Udon, Curry Udon, Yaki Udon and Mentaiko Carbonara. Indulge in classic udon toppings such as tempura, chicken, seafood and more.

As the pioneer of the food movement of utilising less-than-perfect produce from Toyosu Market, Uoharu Singapore continues to elevate these cosmetically imperfect but high quality ingredients through its extensive menu.
Find a wide range of options including appetisers, drinking snacks, a la carte dishes, robatayaki, rice & noodles as well as desserts. Enjoy fresh Japanese seasonal vegetables with Uoharu’s Bagna Cauda ($3 per pax), Japanese raw vegetables served alongside a warm and savoury dipping sauce.

(6) Yappari Steak
Yappari Steak hailing from Naha City, Okinawa, Japan has set up shop in VivoCity, Singapore, serving delicious and high-quality Black Angus beef steaks on hot lava stone plates. Look forward to cooking your very own steak to achieve the desired level of doneness according to your personal taste and preference.
At Yappari Steak, they use lava stone plates from Mount Fuji which have porous surfaces that efficiently absorb and radiate heat. This ensures optimal heat distribution during cooking, hence preserving the beef's natural juiciness. Within minutes upon serving, the meat would be cooked to medium rare. Slice it apart as the meat juice bubbles on the hot lava stone. Let it cook it a little longer if you prefer your steak to be cooked medium.
For the signature Yappari Steak, you can choose your preferred meat portion size, ranging from 150g ($19.80++), 200g ($23.80++) to 300g ($33.80++). Meat lovers can top up $13.80 for an additional 100g. All steaks are served with all-you-can-eat Japanese rice, salad and soup.

Gyukatsu Kyoto Katsugyu at Raffles City Shopping Centre is a well-known restaurant chain from Kyoto specialising in gyukatsu, a breaded and fried beef cutlet. This dish is similar to tonkatsu but uses high-quality beef instead of pork. At Gyukatsu Kyoto Katsugyu, the gyukatsu is served medium rare, allowing the natural flavours of the beef to shine through.Their signature koromo batter (a balance of flour, eggs and breadcrumbs) seals the meat juices with a crispy and golden brown exterior, completing the perfect gyukatsu.
On the menu, there are five different beef cuts: Sirloin, Wagyu Sirloin, Chuck Tail Flap, Tenderloin, and Tongue. Tip: You can opt for the Half & Half GYUKATSU ZEN to try two different cuts!

Setsuri Ishinomaki, the latest concept under Ishinomaki Group, is one of the new restaurants in Guoco Midtown food hub, along with MASHI NO MASHI and Dal.Komm Coffee. Setsuri means “made by nature” and the restaurant pays homage to nature’s ingredients in its extensive grill menu featuring 4 classic Japanese grilling techniques- genshiyaki, warayaki, robatayaki and rogama.
Complementing Setsuri’s authentic grill experience is a fine selection of cold and hot appetisers, mains such as futomaki, donabe and more, as well as a curated shochu collection of over 50 labels.

Kumachan Onsen Shabu Shabu & Yakiniku hailing from Hokkaido is a new dining concept at Orchard Central that combines the flavours of Japanese hot pot (shabu shabu) and grilled meats (yakiniku). The restaurant is popular for their adorable teddy bear hotpot, and its selection of fresh, high-quality ingredients typical of Hokkaido, known for its rich seafood and premium meats.
Hot spring options (soup base choices) include Soymilk Soup, Japanese Miso Soup, Gochujang Soup, Chicken Mapo Soup, Bonito Soup, and Collagen Soup. The first two are white bears, the next two are red, and the last two are brown. Protein options range from Chicken ($15.80++), Double Beef Karubi ($21.80++), to Premium Beef Karubi ($23.80++). Each set comes with an individual hotpot, a side of veggies, and your choice of protein. Top up $2++ for steamed chicken dumplings or noodles.
