Celebrate the Lunar New Year with an unforgettable dining experience at Shisen Hanten by Chen Kataro! This year, enjoy an elegant rendition of Yu Sheng featuring Ma Dai Sashimi (Red Sea Bream), symbolising prosperity for 2025 and the Year of the Snake!
The Chinese New Year Abundance Set starts at $188 per guest, for groups of four or more. It features Sautéed Prawns, Osmanthus Mussels and Asparagus in XO Chilli Sauce, Braised South African 4-head Abalone, Mushrooms and Black Moss with Seasonal Vegetables, and more. Growing tired of the same Chinese dishes for reunion dinner? Indulge in an exceptional Japanese grilling experience at Tajimaya’s Premium Wagyu Buffet, where you can enjoy a wide selection of meats, seafood, appetisers, and desserts. Whether for lunch ($59.90 per person) or dinner ($69.90 per person), this buffet offers premium cuts of meat, fresh seafood, sashimi, sides, and desserts. You can enhance your meal with top-up options like a 40g A5 Japanese Wagyu Beef Platter ($49), featuring cuts such as A5 Kagoshima Chuck Flap and A5 Miyazaki Rib Shin Ribeye, or the Japanese Kurobuta Pork Set for 2 ($118.80), which includes premium pork belly, collar, jowl, and loin.

Known for their hearty and rich soups that are meticulously simmered for hours, Lao Huo Tang offers three Chinese New Year set menus to ring in the new year. Starting from $268 for 4 pax, they also have set menus for bigger families at $388 for 6 pax and $488 for 8 pax, all of which include hearty soups and festive dishes that symbolise health, wealth and happiness.
On top of the Prosperity Abalone Yu Sheng, the Opulence and Prosperity Set ($488 for 8 pax) comes with two soups, Ginseng Herbal Chicken Soup and Fortune Snow Pear Soup. Some of the standout dishes are the Fragrance Honey Pork Chop, Abundance Seafood Pot, and Abalone Imperial Fortune Noodles.

This Lunar New Year, Soup Restaurant presents a luxurious highlight — the Truffle Abalone Seafood Pot. Slow-brewed for over four hours in a rich truffle chicken broth, this pot is packed with eight premium treasures, including 10-head abalone, fried fish maw, fresh tiger prawns, mushrooms, cabbage, and broccoli. The Signature Samsui Ginger Chicken is definitely a must-order, while the Baby Abalone & Salmon with Crispy Yam Yu Sheng is a perfect addition during the festive CNY season.

A beloved Japanese supermarket among Singaporeans, Don Don Donki offers different varieties of Yusheng with convenience at wallet-friendly prices. Starting at $33.88 for the Vegetarian Yusheng, there are also more indulgent options such as the Abalone Yu Sheng Set ($50.88) and the Hokkaido Scallop Yusheng Set ($48.88).
For sticklers to tradition, there are also the classic options with Norwegian salmon belly with bluefin tuna akami or Japan Aomori Salmon. All you have to do is fill out the pre-order form, pay at the cashier and collect at the seafood counter on your selected date! Don’t forget to bring your receipt and order slip along for collection.
(9) Standing Sushi Bar
Known for their Salmon Madness Promotions where you can get 5 slices of fresh salmon sashimi at $3.90, Standing Sushi Bar is no stranger to serving up the freshest fish. Their Yusheng is made with sashimi-grade salmon filleted daily from whole salmon the day of delivery / pickup. The Abundance Platter Yusheng (6-8 pax) 30 slices is priced at $98.88, and there is also a top-up option to add on flying fish roe ($14.88) or Japanese scallops ($21.88).
Their most unique offering would be their Yusheng and Maki Combo Platters as you would be able to get both their Abundance Platter for Yusheng with their crowd-favourite Signature Maki Platter (46 pcs) for $176.88! We would recommend this if you are hosting a small gathering so you can save the trouble of cooking up a feast!
(10) Sushi Tei
A classic Japanese family restaurant, Sushi Tei is a go-to for quality Japanese food and it is no different when it comes to their Yusheng. The Sushi Tei Prosperity Yusheng with salmon sashimi is available for preorder! From now till 27 Jan 2025, customers will get 10% off for 1 platter (from $45.72 after discount) and 20% off for 2 platters (from $40.64 after discount) or more. The collection window will be between 1 Feb to 11 Feb but of course, it will also be available for dine-in, collection and delivery at all outlets from 13 Jan to 16 Feb 2025.
(11) Ichiban Boshi and Kuriya Japanese Dining
Kuriya Japanese Dining and Ichiban Boshi offer their Abundance and Auspicious Yu Sheng (8-10 pax) from $66.80. Kuriya’s Yu Sheng includes 12pcs Salmon, 8pcs Maguro Tuna, and 8pcs Sudachi Yellow Tail, while Ichiban offers 24pcs of fresh Norwegian salmon. The Yushengs will be drizzled in a signature Yuzu sauce, served with Chuka Kurage (seasoned jellyfish) and Chuka Wakame (seasoned seaweed) as base ingredients for the prosperity toss.

Their unique snake-shaped Seafood Yu Sheng ($188) features a luxurious mix of Tuna Maguro, Octopus, Local Lobster, and Salmon Sashimi.
