Ken Japanese Restaurant Launches Seasonal Hairy Crab Lunch Set At $88 With Affordable Lunch Sets From $28
You may have heard of several kaiseki-style omakase joints like GOHO Kaiseki & Bar and Maetomo Restaurant, but here's another one you should add to your list of "restaurants to visit"- The award-winning Ken Japanese Restaurant! Helmed by Head Chef Ryo Endo, who has trained and honed his skills for 10 years in Miyajima and Hiroshima.
Ken (剣) Japanese Restaurant means sword, and its name is inspired by Head Chef Endo Ryo,
whose Samurai-like (侍)appearance reminds one of a sword (剣刀)
To celebrate the summertime in Hokkaido, where hair crabs are in season, they have launched a new Hokkaido Hairy Crab Lunch Set only at $88, available till the end of September! You can savour the fresh Hairy Crab in 4 different ways- First, enjoy it with flavourful Steam Beancurd Skin. Then, indulge in the seasonal crustacean that serves in the form of refreshing salad and crunchy hot spring rolls. Next, fill your belly with Hairy Crab Kaisen Don topped with ikura and uni. Lastly, have it with a fresh trio of sashimi and miso soup.
You may also choose to enjoy this lunch set as a kaiseki-style omakase for slow enjoyment!
That's not all! Look forward to a variety of lunch sets like Ken’s Special Bento ($38)- served with prawn and vegetable tempuras, sashimi of tuna, salmon, seabream, octopus, California roll, chawanmushi, and miso soup.
Special Sushi Set ($58) that includes fresh sashimi, tuna tekkamaki, and ikura.
Unagi Don ($28 for half, $39 for regular)- grilled eel glazed with special in-house sauce.
You can also treat your tummy with Negitoro Uni Ikura Don ($78) which includes premium treasures of the sea like salmon roe, minced tuna belly, and sea urchin.
If you are heading there for lunch, Ken Japanese Restaurant offers kaiseki-style omakase. Choose from a six-course Lunch Omakase at $88 or a nine-course Special Lunch Omakase at $168.
