Shakō-Ba, the latest izakaya hangout located along North Canal Road offers a vibrant and immersive night of fun and games alongside delish bar bites. Derived from the Japanese word 社交 (Shakō) meaning "socialising”, the concept of Shakō-Ba revolves around nights of fun, laughter and camaraderie set in a Daruma-themed izakaya.
Scrumptious Bar Bites & Unique Concoctions
On Shakō-Ba’s extensive menu, you can find a variety of appetisers, cold dishes, makimono, handroll, grilled dishes, donburi, dessert and more. Start with the light Otōshi (1 for $5 or 2 for $8), offering a choice of 6 small appetisers. Seafood delights include Pitan Crab Tofu ($12), a homemade crab tofu topped with pitan sauce and tobiko as well as Salmon Treasure Box ($28), a box of fresh minced salmon topped with ikura and a side serving of crispy seaweed tempura.
Meat lovers can go for Minced Chicken Tsukune ($12), a flavourful meat patty adorned with a whole egg yolk and topped with chicken skin.
Load up on rice and sushi with Crispy Rice Sushi (2 for $12), crunchy crispy rice topped with a choice of lobster or unagi, and Mango Soft Shell Crab Maki ($14), Aburi Salmon Maki ($14) and Tempura Prawn Rice Bowl ($14).
