Exclusive Warabimochi Drinks And Kuromitsu Soft Serve At Warabimochi Kamakura, Waterway Point

Warabimochi Kamakura, renowned for its delightful Japanese confection made from bracken starch, unveiled its fifth outlet and first dine-in café at Waterway Point in Punggol. This new location brings a unique Japanese sweets experience to the area, allowing patrons to savour the delicate flavours of warabimochi in an inviting atmosphere, true to Japanese minimalist aesthetics.

At the new outlet, warabimochi fans can look forward to a delightful outlet-exclusive menu (available from 8 November 2024) featuring signature sweets alongside innovative new offerings such as 3-piece Warabimochi Hot Matcha Set (for dine-in only), earthy Kuromitsu Soft Serve and three new warabimochi drinks.

Treat yourself to a relaxing teatime experience at the café and savour the 3-piece Warabimochi Hot Matcha Set ($9.90), a perfect pairing of delicate, chewy warabimochi and rich, earthy matcha. The warm matcha, with its smooth and slightly bitter notes, complements the sweet and soft texture of the warabimochi, creating a delightful contrast.

Satisfy your sweet cravings and lift your mood with a frozen treat- Kuromitsu Soft Serve with Kinako Powder ($6.90). While soft serve flavours will change seasonally, the first is an iconic Japanese flavour of earthy Kuromitsu Soft Serve dusted with Warabimochi Kamakura’s kinako powder. This creamy treat is infused with kuromitsu, a syrup made from 100% pure brown sugar sourced from Okinawa. It offers a rich, caramel-like sweetness with delicate undertones of molasses.

Expanding on the selection of their cult-favourite warabimochi drinks, the café debuts three new drinks:

  • Melon Milk (S: $7.90, M: $9.90): a showcase of sweet, juicy melon and warabimochi crush enriched with rich Hokkaido milk, then topped with whipped cream, melon sauce, and bits of frozen melon.

  • Rich Chocolate (S: $7.90, M: $9.90): chocolate crush in rich chocolate milk, topped with velvety chocolate whipped cream and dried strawberry sprinkle.

  • Chocolate Banana (S: $7.90, M: $9.90): creamy and indulgent treat with banana crush in chocolate milk, topped with whipped cream and chocolate chips

Seeking a caffeine boost? Check out their Latte Series (S: $5.90, M: $6.90) which offers a delightful duo with the Iced Matcha Latte and Iced Hojicha Latte, each infused with the distinctive earthy fragrances of their respective teas.

Do note that the above outlet-exclusive menu is only available from 8 November onwards. In the meantime, you can still enjoy their classic offerings at Waterway Point, such as 5-Piece Original Box ($8.90) and mainstay warabimochi drinks- Strawberry Yogurt, Strawberry Milk, Asakawa-en Matcha, Coffee Milk and Tenku No Hojicha (S: from $6.90, M: from $8.90).
