Hailing from Taiwan, Hazukido has taken the croissant world by storm with their dedication to exceptional pastries. This highly regarded bakery chain boasts a growing presence across the continent and even reached Canada. Their secret? The meticulous Shokunin spirit of Japan, ensuring only the finest ingredients are used. But their true claim to fame lies in their unique folding technique.

This innovative 72-hour process involves meticulously folding European butter into the dough, creating a remarkable 64-layer masterpiece. The result? Croissants renowned for their complex texture and delightful contrast – a hallmark of Hazukido's artistry. It’s no wonder they have sold a staggering 100 million croissants a year!

Hazukido prioritises freshness, as they believe in preserving the delicious, buttery fragrance that only comes from a freshly made batch, hence a daily limit on their croissant production. While the brand itself does not originate from Japan, they adhere to the Japanese culinary philosophy of using premium ingredients. Their commitment to quality is highlighted in their use of European Elle & Vire butter, Japanese Centenary flour, and ISO-certified eggs.

Hazukido is already Halal-certified in both Taiwan and Malaysia, so a Halal certification in Singapore is likely to be in the works too.

On its menu, Hazukido goes beyond the classic croissant, offering a vast array of over 20 unique flavours, some of which are vegan friendly. Indulge in the timeless elegance of a Honeycomb Croissant, or savour the creamy richness of a Custard Croissant. For savoury options with a unique twist, explore the Salted Egg Yolk Croissant (left) or the luxurious Truffle Crab Croissant. Hazukido also offers options like the Durian Croissant (right) and the Seaweed Croissant – a true taste of Asia. Last but not least, there is the Japanese-inspired Brown Sugar Mochi Croissant which offers a delightful textural contrast.
