Japanese fruits have gained a special place in the hearts of Singaporeans, celebrated for their exceptional quality, vibrant flavours, and meticulous cultivation methods. Whether it is the sweetness of a perfectly ripe melon or the crispness of a fresh apple, Japanese fruits offer a unique taste experience that reflects the rich agricultural heritage of Japan.
If you want to get some premium Japanese fruits, you can easily find them now! Running till 22 February 2025, the Japanese Fresh Fruits and Vegetables Fair is being held at five Cold Storage outlets across Singapore: One Holland Village, Raffles City, Tanglin Mall and Jelita Shopping Centre (5th outlet to be confirmed).
Cold Storage Tanglin Mall
A collaboration between the Japan Fruit and Vegetables Export Promotion Council (JFEC), the Japan Food Product Overseas Promotion Center (JFOODO), Sanrio Company, Ltd., Cold Storage and other partners, the 6-month event features designated shelf space for Japanese fruits. This guarantees a steady supply of premium, fresh produce from different regions across Japan, such as Orin Apple from Aomori Prefecture and Kyoho Grapes and White Peach from Yamanashi Prefecture. The fair offers residents in Singapore the opportunity to enjoy quality Japanese fruits, including seasonal varieties, and the convenience of picking up these fruits at one of the five Cold Storage outlets.

This year, the JFEC is featuring a special edition of the label in collaboration with Hello Kitty. You can also try out the Augmented Reality (AR) filter on Instagram, where Hello Kitty will feed you all the tasty fruits!
The quality Japanese fruits that you can get now at the select Cold Storage outlets are peaches (until mid-September), grapes (until mid-December), and apples (year-round).
